JamRock Radio Control Car Clubâ™s 2015/ 2016 points race series began in September 2016 in Kingston, Jamaica. The Island Nitro Series (INS) Season 6 and the Island Electric Series (IES) Season 2 are each a 5 race points racing series and occurs once a month on alternate months. The end of season points are tallied based on the best 4 of 5 races.
For the Island Nitro Series, I entered the Nitro Sedan class with my 2013 XRAY NT1 powered by Picco Torque motor. The 1st race of the season I suffered from several mechanical issues resulting with me qualifying 7th and finishing 7th in the A Main. This race ended up being dropped for me as it was my poorest. The subsequent 4 remaining races I was able to get top points by finishing 1st or 2nd positions and gaining an extra point for consistently being the Top Qualifier which ultimately led to my winning Season 6.
For the Island Electric Series, I entered 2 out of the 3 classes offered. 1:10 Electric Touring Boosted with my XRAY T3 2012 powered by Speed Passion Grand Tourismo & Speed Passion V4 13.5T motor. I also entered 1:10 Electric Touring Mini FWD with my ABC Grid. Season started and ended strong for both classes and also gaining maximum points for consistently being the Top Qualifier.
